Game Projects

Here are some of the games that I have worked on throughout my time inside and out of university and in the industry. I either made the game myself or in a team but overall I have learned a lot from these projects and I will include a short reflection as well to show how even though I am proud of my work there is, of course, improvements I could make.

Please see below for projects that I have worked on

A Bonnie Odyssey - Pre-Launch

Durning my time at Astrodreamer, I was tasked with helping the pre-existing dev team concept & implement level designs, puzzle design, narrative script editing, bug fixing, UI design and ensuring all documentation was up to date.
For "A Bonnie Odyssey" Unreal 5 was the game engine we used as a dev team and through my time at Astrodreamer I have become confident in it.
"A Bonnie Odyssey" is still currently in development and has not yet received a release date.

Golf With Your Friends - Corrupted Forest DLC

After assisting in external design at Team17, I was  tasked with helping the GWYF team create a 9-Hole course which was focused on being a challenge for returning players, Durning this  I worked closely with the design team and other disciplines. I was tasked with, course creation, course testing, course balancing, collabarting with other disciplines, receiving advice, implementing feedback from usability testing, helping onboard other design members onto the project, bug fixing and some narrative work (course title and hat names).

Overcooked All You Can Eat - World Food Festival DLC - 2022

For my 1st title as Junior Designer within Team17, I was tasked with concepting, creating, and balancing levels along with bug fixing, some narrative and UI work.
Rats for the win.

Zoo Date - 2020

For my 3rd year team project we were asked by Edinburgh Zoo to produce a game about conversation efforts for a classroom environment.
For this project i worked in a multi disciplinary team made up of 4 artists, 2 programmers, a designer and myself as producer.

As a team we decided to showcase panda conversations efforts and were able to meet the criteria of the brief within the given deadline. This was produced during the start of the Covid-19 pandemic so we transferred to working remotely  during this time.

Innishfree - 2018

For my level design class in 2nd year, I was tasked to make a level design and a working prototype based on a theme in Unreal Engine.
For this class, I chose the theme "Memories" and decided to showcase my family's joint memories based on my Grandmother's childhood island.
For this I had three narrative perspectives - My grandmother at a young age, myself aged 6-8 and my present self.

I am currently furthering developing this for my honors project, i will update this as it progresses in the "Inishfree" tab.

Please feel free to view the video below to see my level and prototype.

Animal Crossing - Mayor Run 2018

In my first year,I teamed up with other game designer's on my course to produce a board game adaption of an existing intellectual property.
For this, we chose to do a multiplayer board game based on the Nintendo series "Animal Crossing - New Leaf".

We learned a lot from this project; working in a tight team, clearly conveying ideas, delegating tasks and knowing what to cut and when.  Overall, I am still proud of this project even looking at it three years later I can see aspects that i would like to polish (Gaining scores) but overall as a prototype i am pleased with this.
